8- Ball & Pool

We have two pay-to-use tables ($1.00 per game) available for use. As such we haven’t got a formal team representing the Club so if any Club member would like to step up and take this on, have a chat to one of the committees. Thursday nights we play Kelly Pool or have a mini-pool comp. We play Club rules so our rules differ so just ask.

Darts

We have 2 formal Dart Teams resident in our Club: Vicky Park Darts captained by Mike Myers and New Parnell Darts Team captained by Mercedes Jack. These teams play home and away alternative Saturdays and are a great day of fun and sports. We are open if anyone wants to start up a darts comp on week nights (exceptions are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays). Once again, see committee.

Cards & Board Games

We have sets of cards available should patrons want to play solitaire or euchre or anything else – there are cribbage boards available. We also have 5 crowns and quiddler. Board games are a work in Progress and so far, we have Monopoly, Risk. Electronic Battleship, Chess and Draughts and Kiwi Quiz

Parnell RSC Fishing Club

Currently run by Mr Graeme WILSON and just newly formed early June 2022. Thursday nights are the Fishing Club night where raffles are run then they play Kelly Pool. Pop in if you want to see Graeme about anything. Fees are $15.00 per RSC Club member per year.

We are open to anyone’s suggestions should they wish to try organizing something just pop in and ask to speak to a member of committee or give the On Duty Bar Manager your contact Details. Although we are closed Mondays, we will open for you if you want to run an event that attracts a few people; once again contact us.

About Us

Small, friendly Returned Services Club where visitors are always welcome! Unfortunately, we do not have any parking but we are very close to Inner and Outer Link Bus Stops which will aid your travel.

Any and everyone is welcome to our Club to relax and enjoy a quiet refreshment and perhaps partake in a game of darts or pool. We are open currently 5 days a week from 3:00 PM.
We are often asked why we are an RSC and not an RSA. RSC is Returned Services Club. The main difference between RSC and RSA is that the RSC acknowledges the Merchant Navy as Returned Service Persons. There are only two RSC’s left in New Zealand and they are Grey Lynn and us

Events

Keep an eye on this section for any special events that we may have going from time to time. Sometimes we have live music on a Friday Night and some Sundays we may have a speaker present. Friday Night is our Club Member Number Lucky Draw night. At 6:30PM we draw a number out of a pool that contains every member membership number, and should you be there and be able to present your card you win the pot. Each week that no one wins it jack pots an amount. Additional to that draw there is a $40.00 hard luck cash draw up for grabs. The Club Member Number Lucky Draw is only available to fully financial members of the Club. Friday Night is also our raffle night, and this usually follows the format of 40 tickets @$2.00 each winner takes $50.00. All proceeds to our Welfare Account whereby funds can be used for Condolences or Get-Well cards. Jag the Joker also runs on Friday nights and the pot is dependent on the night. Thursday nights is our Fishing Club Raffle night and depending on patronage, we might run a pool comp.

Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and camaraderie of the members at this festive time. For more information on any of these events please see a member of the committee who will be more than happy to assist you.
